Dr. Piri Veluppillai has been a faculty member at UCSF since 2003. She is an Associate Professor at UCSF and a board certified Oral Medicine specialist.
Dr. Veluppillai trained at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden where she earned a DDS. After graduation, she practiced general dentistry in Nottingham, UK before moving to the US. She then completed a residency in Oral Medicine in 2003 at UCSF and a Master's in Oral Biology.
Dr. Veluppillai is a member of American Academy of Oral Medicine and American Board of Oral Medicine.
Her current and past research interests including management of precancerous oral lesions and oral manifestations of HIV/AIDS.
