Dr. Melissa Tuft is a general dentist and Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences at UCSF Dental Center. She performs preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dental procedures twice a week in the UCSF Faculty Group Practice. Dr. Tuft is also the director of the UCSF Community Dental Clinic, a student-run clinic providing free care to the underserved of San Francisco.
Dr. Tuft graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry and went into private practice here in San Francisco’s Union Square area. For over 30 years in private practice she enjoyed general dentistry, Invisalign orthodontic and restoring dental implants.
Having been a part-time volunteer faculty for many years, Dr. Tuft is excited to have joined the faculty, practicing in Faculty Group Practice and teaching the domestic and international pathway pre-doctoral students.
