Dr. Guo-Hao (Alex) Lin joined the Division of Periodontology in the UCSF School of Dentistry as an assistant clinical professor in 2017. Dr. Lin is a recipient of several awards from the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Foundation. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (board-certified periodontist) and has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals. His research focuses on evidence-based dentistry (systematic reviews and meta-analysis) as well as implant-related clinical studies.
Dr. Lin currently serves as the director of the Postgraduate Residency Program in Periodontics.
