Dr. Ava Wu has been a faculty member at UCSF since 1996. She is a Professor of Orofacial Sciences and Director of the Sjögren’s Clinic.
Dr. Wu graduated from Dental School at the University of California, San Francisco and received advanced training at USC Keck School of Medicine, the Veterans Administration Medical Center in St Louis, the National Institute of Health and Stanford University School of Medicine.
Her research areas are in the pathogenesis of Sjogren’s Disease and the clinical management of the oral component of Sjögren’s. She has published over 50 articles on aspects related to Sjögren’s and lectures frequently on the topic. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Sjögren’s Foundation.
